The theatre library owns about 45000 volumes, from XVIth century editions to contemporary publications; 400 periodicals; over 570000 reviews, which increases every year with thousands of articles taken from the Italian newspapers; about 1900 promptbooks; ca. 25000 letters and personal papers. The other theatre collections consist of about 21000 photos, over 30000 playbills and programmes, over 5000 prints and drawings, and a rich collection of paintings, costumes, marionnettes and sculptures. Online catalogues are available for most collections. |

Fondazione Mantova Capitale Spettacolo

The Mantova Capitale Europea dello Spettacolo Research Institute started its activities in January 1999, became a foundation in April 2000, and was legally recognised by Regione Lombardia in the following October.
At present, its main activity lies in researching documents on performances executed under the patronage of the Lords of Mantua, the Gonzaga, in an age when their rule reached the zenith of its splendour (1480-1630).

Herla is the computer archive created by Mantova Capitale Europea dello Spettacolo in order to search information about spectacular activities in the age of the Gonzaga in Italian and European locations visited by actors connected with the Mantuan Court. |

The Documentation Centre of performing Arts in Andalusia, an organization depending on “ La Consejeria de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucia”, was founded with the clear aim of public service and with the specific tasks of locating, collecting, keeping, maintaining , analysing and spreading any information and document related to the theatre and dance in and out the Andalusia borders. |
